This is very ancient temple, Preah Theat Teuk Chhar, where is a group of temples in Thmo Da village, Beung Nay commune and Thmei village, Krouch commune in Prey Chhar district and it is about 39 km from Kampong Cham provincial town. The temple site is very serenity, quiet, and nice view to explore for learning the history of Cambodia and touring, especially  there is a line of water pool to flow from the head water to supply this area for the villagers' sake. The site is truly natural landmark of district for mostly of local visitors, sometimes there are some foreigners to reach there as well. The temple was constructed during the reign of King Suryavarman I in AD 1005. Furthermore, the architect excavated a large pond on the right side of the temple called Leaksintrada. A golden Silva lingam was kept in the middle of the pond. In short, this place is very attractive with the old temple, flowing-water, vegetable plantation, and the people; you will often dream of it after your trip.
