The ancient Sambo Preykuk temple is located in Kampong Thom and was once an old capital which named Isanapura and a religious center for the worship of Shiva Brahmanism.King Isanavarman I (AD 616-635) built many temples in Sambo Preykuk in the 7 th century. So, there are three main group temples the Central temple is called Tor temple which is powerful animal to win other ones and the strongest to be shown the long age of Empire, the Northern temple is named Mid-Sambo temple, and the Southern temple is issued Yeay Poan temple.
